Of course you can improve the driver. It's CVS, if you break it, it can 
be corrected ;)

We would like to release DirectFB 0.9.21 this month, so maybe you 
should commit now.

If you agree, I will maintain the nvidia driver.
I have already added support for ARGB1555, RGB32 and ARGB.
