:-)  Could you send the "added to stock qt" portion to me.  or hell, if
you can tarball the whole tree, i'd be glad to go pick it up somewheres.

The mythtv sources?  I have seen those.  The problem is getting the UI
on DirectFB framebuffer.

Which I am doing and then running an 800x600 (for lack of better
modeline timings for ntsc) but the results are visually horrible.
Nowhere near as nice as mplayer -vo dfbmga for example.  That is the
kind of quality I am looking for.  I was hoping to get that from myth's
video player and use whatever I can for the OSD (x11 on framebuffer if i
had to, or qt on framebuffer, etc.)

But I'm still suffering from the 800x600 frame buffer no?

Even if I could get "proper" NTSC timings for the framebuffer I would be
further ahead but I have searched for years to find any.  It seems that
everybody is happy with video quality at 800x600.  I think most people
don't know what they are missing in fact.
