It's complete and works for gtk which uses it quite a bit now for drawing.
Some test fail I've not looked at the exact failures but the backend
is in the cairo test suite. For something like SVG support there are
probably additional failures.

Performance has not been tested but it should be about the same as the
builtin image backend since it mainly falls back to that. A
significant amount of work remains to take advantage of directfb
primitives to pick up hardware acceleration.

I'm cross posting to the dev list you should post your work on minimo
there others are intrested. I'm focused on a webkit port but the more
the merrier.
