Once you install the DFBTerm application, you will get a DirectFB terminal and you can start any application on the terminal.

The answer is mostly in the code, and mailing lists.
I've been thinking about browsing through the whole archives
and extracting all knowledge for the Wiki. I remember writing
quite detailed about architectural topics on the list.
