Thanks for the request Attilio it seems that the GTK port is gaining momentum.
And with that bug reports are pouring in. I think that support for GTK
is critical
for the success of DirectFB and I hope that some of the supporters of DirectFB
can come to my rescue here.

I looked into the issue of clearing the rectangles and gdk makes the right calls
so I back to square one on this.
