The integrated windowing system is started by running a program using DirectFB. You can currently run one application at the same time in this windowing system. However, with the multi application core that is currently in development you can start several apps running within one windowing system. The first app started initializes DirectFB and the windowing system. In the future this could be a window manager or a terminal. The multi application core can be tested by specifying "--enable-multi" at configure time. But be warned!
