Dear VAK ,
                   I had tried all these things earlier , but it did not 
work , but this is sure that if gpm is running mouse is not going to 
work . But I am surprised to see that after gpm is stopped then also it 
does not work . The the strangest thing is that when I start X-Windows 
but some username and then run the gtk+-directb program with superuser 
rights then the mouse works . Any ideas about that .
