Hi all, just subscribed to this list and I'm a DirectFB newbie, so
please be gentle :)
To start with a quick description of the system I'm running:
AMD K6-2 400Mhz
RedHat 7.1, running kernel 2.4.2-2
Voodoo 3000 video card
My problems:
1) DirectFB compilation
I downloaded avifile and installed it. Going by rpm, I have freetype
2.0.1-4 installed, along with the devel package. I run configure on
DirectFB and I receive these messages:
configure: warning: *** freetype-config not found -- FreeType font
provider will not be built.
checking for avifile-config... (cached) no
configure: warning: *** avifile-config not found -- AVI media provider
will not be built.
checking for FlashGetInfo in -lflash... (cached) no
From the command line I can run both freetype-config and
avifile-config, but configure can't seem to see them. I also tried
copying avifile-config into the DirectFB directory but still not luck.
Help!
2) Running any DirectFB program
Whenever I run a DirectFB program I receive the warning:
(!) DirectFB/core/fbdev: Panning display failed!
--> Invalid argument
Now I read in a previous message to this mailing list something about
'yspan'? There was just that line, and so a newbie like myself has no
idea what its talking about!
