Indeed... I'm stuck in console mode since XFree86 refuses to work on my
machine for some unknown reason :-)

I've managed to compile it on Debian (powerpc) and it launches, but
colors looks weird, like if they were inverted... I tried the demos from
DFBTutorial, and I didn't have this problem.

Apart from colors, it works great, and is really fast :-)
I'll read your driver code to learn more about dfb.

By the way, DirectFB doesn't see my mouse (logitech usb)... Is there a
way to configure it ? I tried links' fb driver, and I had a working (huge)
mouse cursor.

With gpm running, DirectFB seems to have a problem with both mouse and
keyboard. It draws the screen once, then hangs. I can kill it, though.

Last question : is there a way to switch vt when in a DirectFB
application ? Alt-Fn does nothing. I suppose the application grabs the
keyboard, but perhaps it's possible to let some keypressed events pass
through ?
