Well, I'm near to manage without hardware acceleration: on a TV with a 640x480-16
resolution the video playback is near
to seems smooth if I encode an avi movie to the right size
(avoiding strech blittings). On a monitor, the only way I
found was to set the video mode to 320x240-16, this allows a
bit smooth playback, but pixels are too evident (I can't
get all). I think that if I could set the TV out to 320x240
I'll get a decent set top box, but DirectFB says the well
known message 'not supported' when it's initialized with
this resolution and CRT2 is set to TV (this is possible
when I work on a monitor and CRT2 is disabled. Perharps I
have made something wrong, or it's impossible to set the
TV-OUT of a SiS card to 320x240?

Thanks for your help

If I get free time (free time? ha, ha ;) ) I will start to
read the documentation I could find to attack this driver,
but this day seems so far away.
