[directfb-users] Problem in i810fb-lite driver to run DirectFB

Hi All,
  I am trying to add framebuffer device support to linux-2.4.20
(vanilla kernel) by applying "linux-2.4.20-i810fb-lite.diff.bz2" 
patch
to the kernel source to run DirectFB programs.The patch is 
applied
without any hunk error. But when I run "make bzImage" the 
following
error occurs.

`fbcon_cfb8'
make: *** [vmlinux] Error 1
Currently I am working in Red Hat Linux 8.0, vanilla kernel 2.4.20 
and
Intel 810E chipset with on board graphics controller 
environment.

How to rectify this ?
