I think I had the same problem with viafb and kernel 2.6.6 : your Radeon kernel frame buffer might not be up-to-date wrt DirectFB. That was the case with the viafb kernel module.
To be sure, run vdr with gdb and just back-trace. This address seems to be in the kernel, maybe the aty frame-buffer module...
