Hi! I had directfb 1.0 installed on two vmware-machines and on a laptop running with gentoo 2.6.19 and everythings run fine.
Then I did setup the real target computer (a mini-itx which will be an audio-client) and emerged gentoo 2.6.20. I installed everything else like before including Directfb, but when I start dfbinfo (or my programm) it hangs with a black screen. If I kill dfbinfo, I can see that it hangs after the line "(*) DirectFB/Input: PS/2 Generic Mouse (4) 0.1 (directfb.org)". If I start dfbinfo (or my program) a second time, it works just fine! But after reboot, the first time I invoke directfb (regardless which program I use) it hangs. After that it works fine - till the next reboot. I did upgrade to gentoo 2.6.21.r4, but its the same. And its not the hardware, because I did upgrade the laptop to gentoo 2.6.20.r8 and dfbinfo does not really hangup there but needs a very long time (more than 2 minutes) till it shows the info. And it needs this long time also only for the first time invoked after booting. Any ideas? Or can I provide you any more information to fix the problem?
