No, the driver doesn't mind about that kind of settings. The only
settings it can change are resolution and pixelformat.

Are you really sure that DFBARGS is ignored?
Try `DFBARGS="help" fbxine -V DirectFB [mrl]`. It should print only a
list of DirectFB options.

Because it is a "non-standard" driver, expressly developed for the xine
video provider (i.e. to make it work with a specific frontend, you have
to make that frontend aware of it's mechanisms).
