Hi Attilio,
I had already included the no-hardware in my /etc/directfbrc
file. Please find the contents of my file below.

fbdev=/dev/fb0

pixelformat=RGB32
no-hardware
no-vt-switch
disable-module=keyboard
disable-module=serialmouse
disable-module=lirc
