Hi,

I'm using mplayer on a via unichrome video adapter (embedded system commel
lv-667 with cn400 chipset). My problem is that on a console with the
fullscreen option activated, mplayer (-vo directfb) plays any video file
with very low quality.

By low quality I mean that the frame rate is significantly lower than the
normal one (the sound is also not synchronized) and the image is all fuzzy.
By fuzzy I mean that, the image has some little squares and every object's
edge is not straight.

THE QUESTION IS: Why might that happen in console with directfb, while in
Xwindows with no frammedroping and in fullscreen, everything works just
fine? I also tested GeexBox media center (no Xwindows, just console), based
on linux and mplayer, and everything goes like in Xwindows in terms quality
and speed.

Is this a directfb issue or a kernel one or some other thing which I don't
seem to figure out?

Thanks a lot!

M
