I've managed to get some of the options to compile using the git versions.

In the process of doing this I've come across some problems with the
matrox G400DH driver. These are:

The use of matrox-sgram seems to be broken, using df_dok there is
nothing displayed for the straight fills, IIRC this used to work with
the card.

The performance of df_xine seems to be CPU intensive, a sample mpeg_ps
recorded with an ivtv card is using about 99% of the CPU on a P3 733 MHz
machine, but this could be because I'm running the screen at a high
resolution (1280x1024). In comparison mplayer uses about 60% with -vo
directfb.

Are there any other options that I can set to improve the performance?

TIA
Duncan
