I have a couple of questions: 1) Do you have the Multi Application Core enabled in directfb? 2) Does it still hang if you disable audio output in fusionsound (echo driver=none >> ~/.fusionsoundrc)? If both the answers are YES, then it could be a bug in the ffmpeg video provider.
