check http://www.directfb.org/wiki/index.php/Configuring_DirectFB for how to use options. (note that the smooth options I mentioned are not in there yet)
You can find out if your device is doing anti-aliasing with HW accel - simply play a bit with the (no-)software/hardware options, see link above. e.g. do no-hardware to see your SW behaviour. if no-software leaves blanks, you know you're not using HW accel.
