This is my first message on this mailing list, so I am introducing myself. Nice

Well, I am evaluating DirectFB for a project, and I can't seem to make the
demos in DirectFB-examples-1.2.0 run, so it seems impossible to try what I can
REALLY do with DirectFB, even if I am very, very attracted to it's old-school
framebuffer direct access style and I would REALLY like to program with it.
it thows the following error whenever a directfb app is started:

I am on gentoo-2.6.27, and I am forced to use VESA framebuffer at the moment
since intelfb doesn't work in EFI machines at the moment (I use a macbook: if
you think it's related to the usage of the generic VESA framebuffer and you
know how can I get the intelfb working in those EFI machines, please tell me).
It's very important to me: I've googled and waited in #directfb to get help,
but it's really hard. So please, help me guys :)
