for my Project i want to replace Xorg with a framebuffer based solution.
I am build an embedded linuxdistribution to start a mediacenter that is
based on pigment from fluendo. pigment needs Mesa for GL. now i have
looking for a replacement for X11. there are many outdated and dead
projects like miniGLX. I need libdrm too - for swrast my hardware is too
slow (Via Eden with CX700 chipset). I need a framebuffer/mesa/libdrm
solution that is working with recent software and kernels and recent
unichrome/openchrome/intel/ati/nvidia based graphics hardware. I think i
can successfull compile directfbgl (that is included in Mesa) - but i
have read its based only of swrast. Does anyone have a idea how i can do
this and its possible to run this with pigment-based programs? (pigment
has a directfb plugin, that is also outdated/dead/non-working)
