Hello everybody,

we are working on a handheld application with a 800x480 LCD Display using FLTK 1.1.9 on top of DirectFB 1.4.2. It display large Text (100 Pixel, about 10 digits) and curve plotters.

After having found that the AVR32 Processor does not deliver the required performance (at least without a lot optimisation) we are evaluating the Omap 3503.

This worked very well when the Screen was in Landscape view. When I rotate the Layer to Portrait mode in the FLTK Code, it gets really slow.

My questions:

What is the fastest way to realise a rotated display with DirectFB? (/FLTK)

The gfxdriver called omap does crash when I try to use it ( "(!) [Main Thread 0.000] ( 8827) *** Assertion [__size > 0] failed *** [shmalloc.c:549 in fusion_dbg_shcalloc()]" ). Does it offer any speedup for our application / Processor (3503)?

Kind regards,
Robert
