It's debatable what you can constitute a "major change".
The NEWS section on the DirectFB website contains for each release a
"summary", so you would need to skim through the updates of all the
"production" releases, i.e. 1.0.x, 1.2.x and 1.4.x.
Note that the major changes are normally visible in API changes, so a
diff of directfb.h of the 2 versions will get you far.
