Hi Rystraum, I am not sure of other probable causes, and recommend turning on logging and creating a DirectFB debug build so that you can enable debug message output in /etc/directfbrc or on the command line of your app.
For CE3100/CE4100 related questions it is my understanding (after chatting with an AE here) that forums are provided on developer.intel.com and monitored.
