Hi, I used to see my movies on tv enabling tv out on my matrox g550, it used to work well on
previous ubuntu 8.04 (Hardy Heron, it shipped with directfb 1.0.1). But now with ubuntu 10.04 I get
my whole desktop corrupted when I run `mplayer -vo dfbmga clip.avi', you can see this here:

In order to get back a working desktop I have to quit mplayer, then switch to a virtual console
(ctrl+f1), then back to xorg (ctrl+f7).
Here you have my ~/.directfbrc:
no-vt
matrox-crtc2
matrox-tv-standard=pal

Please note that this whole thing worked for me with the old ubuntu distro!
Now, directfb is version 1.2.8, kernel 2.6.32-23-generic i686 GNU/Linux with
gnome 2.30.2 and xorg X server 1.7.6 with mga driver 1.4.11.
Further: is there some other software I can use in order to enable tv out without using mplayer?
This could allow me to see if the bug lies into directfb or into mplayer.
