Do you plan to push jar files to the grand maven repository? If yes, you publish binaries. If you publish binaries the project needs to vote on them. If there is no vote on the binaries, the developer is responsible for them, because they are not official. if you of course only plan to make directmemory-0.1-incubating-source-release.zip available for download, and no *jar or anything other file, then its ok. But as I understood it, you want to vote on the sources only and make binaries available. This is not a correct approach, or at least, to what I have understood. Please reconsider what Simone has said - it is not too much effort to prebuild the binaries and vote on them too. As I am under the impression that the binaries are not available on the vote, but will uploaded afterwards, I give a -1.
