Ideally, I would like my setup so that my backup partitions only get
mounted when I'm about to backup. So, I tried to use pre-server to
mount my partitions before I created the initial image. My master.conf:
- --
pre-server: /bin/mount /mnt/backup/home
pre-server: /bin/mount /mnt/backup/music
post-server: /bin/umount /mnt/backup/home
post-server: /bin/umount /mnt/backup/music
bank:
/mnt/backup
exclude:
*.swp
.keep
Runall:
home 22:30
music 22:30
expire-default: +15 days
expire-rule:
# MIN HR DOM MON DOW STRFTIME_FMT
* * * * 1 +3 months
* * 1-7 * 1 +1 year
* 08-17 * * 2-5 +4 days
- --
But, when I ran "# dirvish --vault home --init", I got this message:
cannot open config file: default.conf
The config file it there, but the filesystem is unmounted, so dirvish
doesn't see it. I had to manually mount the home backup filesystem
before I could create the initial image.
Am I approaching this the wrong way? Does --init not run the pre-server
script? I couldn't find any documentation saying one way or the other.
TIA,
Trey
