Personally whenever I start a new bank with --init, if it contains
too many bulky files, I will create a rather extensive exclude list
first. Then before the next regular backup I will remove some of the
excludes until I get past each previous exclude mark.
Use something like this in your <bank>/dirvish/default.conf file:
exclude:
proc/
cache/
