Do a df -i and a normal df on the current disk dirvish uses - assuming it's only or at least totally predominantly used for dirvish for realistic results. You should be able to deduce whether you're gonna run out of space or inodes first from your current usage patterns (which probably won't change just 'cause there's a new server, right?). > Mkfs.ext3 create by default a 5% reserved area, I plan to reduce this to > 1% (7gb), can this have any adverse effect? One one hand, if it's a pure data FS without areas that can mess up the OS if they underrun (like /var), you can set it to 0; OTOH, rsync runs as root for dirvish, so the limits don't apply in any case. In other words: neither should matter in your case. Unless I forgot something, and the the list will correct me. :) Yours, Bernd _______________________________________________ Dirvish mailing list [email protected] http://www.dirvish.org/mailman/listinfo/dirvish
