I set up dirvish for my needs and it's okay. The only thing I cannot figure out is those directives :

pre-server:
post-server:

I've put those in the "master.conf" file but they do not seem to run.

How exactly did you put them there? Show us the actual lines.

Hello Paul,

sorry : i've not followed my own post!

here it is :
bank:
        /mnt/backup
exclude:
        lost+found/
        core
        *~
        .nfs*
        /mnt/**
        *.bak
        .*.swp
        /var/spool/squid

pre-server: /etc/dirvish/init_backup.sh
post-server: /etc/dirvish/post_backup.sh

Runall:
        courcelles:racine 00:50 .....(snip)
For the moment, I run those scripts via the dirvish-cronjob script. But that would be a problem if I had to run several machines -especially distant machines. It would be difficult to run those init-scripts on a per machnie basis. So I would prefer to use the pre- and post-server...

Laurent
