If I've understood correctly, I think you want your dirvish.conf file to
say:
exclude:
- mx:/var/www/sites/*/*/Mailboxs#
+ mx:/var/www/sites/*/*/*#
The rsync man page describes what's allowed, as referred to by the
dirvish.conf manpage
