-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi everybody,
I need to backup several VMs, therefore I setup dirvish with SSH keys, and everything runs smooth. Using the right excludes and forced-commands and all is well. One thing I am not sure about: What's the best way to backup clients, that are not always running? Is there a ways to check if the client is up and running, and only backup if it is? How did all of you solve this? Running some kind of pre-server script, which fails, when the client is down, does still create a directory for the failed backup. Thanks in advance! Regards, Johannes - -- In its default setup, Windows XP on the Internet amounts to a car parked in a bad part of town, with the doors unlocked, the key in the ignition and a Post-It note on the dashboard saying, "Please don't steal this".
