The latest tarball snapshop here:

is from July last year. Since this is what the build bot grabs, it
might be nice to update this on at least a monthly basis.
If you like, I could do this as I do have write access to the snapshot
directory. I could even add a 'make tarball' target to the Makefile
so that generating the tarball is a foolproof and repeatable.
