john, That is a linker-related error. The bbn library uses omnithreads (as, back in the day, did GNURadio). Your best bet is likely going be to modify the BBN code to use boost::threads (as GNURadio does currently). I believe there are some discussions about this in the mailing list archives. You could also try to install omnithreads and compile/link against it.
