Hi Les,
try to build with verbose output enabled, to see if there might be
more errors/warnings. If I remember correctly you need to run
something like this:
make VERBOSE=1
If it does not work, search the list/website on how to turn verbose
building on.

Les is building on a Pentium III system, which likely will be no end of
grief, even if he has the patience to wait for the compile to finish.
A PIII system is waaaay underpowered for doing anything with Gnu Radio,
and the fact that the longest compile stage hadn't finished after
24 hours is a clue that it'll be almost useless actually running Gnu
Radio.
