Dear all, not sure if this is still interesting: I managed to install gnuradio without X11 on Mac OS X using these steps:

sudo port uninstall installed
sudo port install py27-pygtk +quartz
sudo port install gtk-osx-application -python27
sudo port install gnuradio +quartz +no_x11
grc
