Is this only happening for one particula application?
Yes!
How did you dock the application?
I started it with "openapp SmartClient" in Terminal.app and dragged the
icon to the dock.
Did you by any chance specify a display directly?
No!
You might also want to truss(1) the application to see more details
about what's going on inside the system lib calls.
I will read the truss man page.
