My name is Marcus and for about 2 years now I have been working on my
own software, an OS to be precise. I named it laststep as an homage to
NeXTSTEP. What exactly is laststep supposed to be?

As of the moment I am working on a graphical login manager, which is
based on my framework and uses controls I have written for it.
