Today I wrote some mails to the GNUsteppers who want to give talks at FOSDEM to
ask them about the details. The current situation is that I've got commitment
for some talks but the available eight hours are not so easy to fill with talks
(even when some people proposed to give more than one talk).
So there's no rule that everything in the dev-room has to be a talk. We could
also have an open hacking session for instance, where we would hack on GNUstep,
get feedback from visitors, get into discussions with visitors, help them out
with their GNUstep problems/questions (installation, developing with GNUstep,
tools and so on). Would such a thing work? How long should be the duration of
such an event?
What else? What could be done at the GNUstep-Devroom during FOSDEM?
Discussions? Q&A Sessions? Tutorials ("my first GNUstep Application")?
What do you think?
cheers,
Lars
p.s.: Niels Grewe <[email protected]> is willing to give a talk, only
that he needs someone to prepare a talk or provide an idea for a talk. Some
takers?
