I did some work on HTML stripping on GNUstep, it could improve your situation, if you care test svn head of Pantomime.
Howwever, that code path is not used on Mac, since it goes through WebKit. But there sometimes you might have issues if it is very old (pre 10.9 in my experience) due TLS 1.1. It should just not display, but I have seen crashes.
Otherwise we need to haunt exceptions in a new place. Can you generate such an email and/or send me it as full attachment? Riccardo
