Not sure if all this intellectual property talk is directly opensrs related,
but it definitely affects us all. Imo, intellectual property issues are
quite complicated.

Personally, i make a distinction between unique words like "Microsoft",
"Open SRS", and words that already existed in our public domain lexicon,
like "yahoo" or "amazon". Their is also a legal distinction between
"famous" trademarks and just normal trademarks.

I will fight tooth and nail to prevent the subjugation of public domain
words into corporate properties that are the Exclusive domain of
corporations or individuals. (McDonalds (that crap burger chain) just
prevented a Swiss company from calling their health product/strategy,
McWellness.,. as if McDonalds has any moral right to prevent others from
using Mc in their concepts/art/businesses. imo, if a company or entity
wants exclusivity in the use of words, the least they can do is come up
with original words!.)

so, i say Yahoo! to the great Amazon River.
