Hi Alex,
Depends on where the change needs to sit. for changes that need to be in the root
whois server, this is updated twice daily. Normally, this would be for something link
a change in DNS server, or for new registrations. Other changes are within the
registrars database (email addresses and the like) and should happen in real time.
