I've renewed and transferred several domains recently and have noticed a
recent slowdown in the release of names from NSI to OpenSRS and
DomainRegistry.com. The names used to show up as registered to the
competing registrar *before* they dropped from NSI's whois. Now, there is
a several day lag from when NSI drops them to when they appear in the
OpenSRS whois.
It appears a recent change was made to how the registry is processing
status changes.
