The idea i had was, not holding the domains past the 1 year payment.
I was thinking more along, the first 90 days even after the first year
was paid by the reseller. The domain sits there for a year without
being put back into the market, creating artificial "scarce" market
conditions so the registrars can push more gTLD's out to the public.
