IIRC, this is somewhat misleading.
The registry gives the losing registrar 5 days to ack-yes or ack-no... If
they don't answer, it will ack-yes automatically. However, the registry
does not tell the registrar when the request is denied. The only way to
tell is to query and see if it was moved or not.
OpenSRS' server checks the root servers daily looking for successful
transfers. If the transfer doesn't show as transferred, eventually OpenSRS
gives up and says "Cancelled - Timed out waiting for registry approval."
Hopefully I've explained it properly.
