Hey Jo,
I cant confirm 100% at this time ( after all it is 12:30am ), but we
compare DNS host records against the registry that the name is being
registered with ( in this case CIRA ), and I dont think they have a check
in place for to verify the existence of nameservers in the com/net/org
world as of yet!
Ergo, a non-existent DNS can be used to register a domain in
the land of .ca's. Email me the domain and the DNS and I will see what I
can dig up.
