When I worked for another ISP in the UK, we once had this problem! Don't
know how it ended though!
I also did some work with somebody who used to work in the US, and there
offices were next door or on the next block to NSI's or something like that.
At lunch time, he said there was this sandwitch shop, or hot dog stand that
the employees used to go get there food from, and the person I know said
they were the most miserable lot of people he'd seen!
What do you think of that? lol

Well I have a horror story to add as well:
We renewed the domain with NSI on February 28th - it was NOT on hold at that
point. NSI accepted and cashed the check on Feb. 28, 2001 (we have the
actual
cashed check to prove it) NSI placed the domain on hold in March9th and it
was re-registered on March 15th by another party.
