do all of you remember the discussion about [EMAIL PROTECTED] and the rfc?
ok. now rfc 2396 says:
hostname = *( domainlabel "." ) toplabel [ "." ]
domainlabel = alphanum | alphanum *( alphanum | "-" ) alphanum
toplabel = alpha | alpha *( alphanum | "-" ) alphanum
