i tried again, this time with another set of nameservers, still it gave the
same problem ...
though the nameservers are up and running, please suggest as to what may be
wrong with my setup...
i have tried registering directly from the opensrs site ( control panel )
still it gives the same problem,
( this is my first domain with opensrs, athough the payment has been sent
and i have
been credited...)

I've verified the existence of these nameservers - so they "should" work.
Just make sure you're not trying the test system *grasping for straws*.
If you ARE using the LIVE environment, I suggest you email
[EMAIL PROTECTED] - let them know that these ARE registered hosts but
you get <insert error here> for <insert domain name here>.
We can then use that to notify NSI Registry Support if there is in fact a
problem.
