The registration scripts check for availability against the registry, not whois, and are a reliable and valid test. They basically look into the registry WHOIS (say, whois.crsnic.net) and search for the term "No match for domain..." which is NOT really real-time in terms of a domain's availabilty. Does OpenSRS's script use the same method to check a domain's availability? Does OpenSRS provide a method to check into the "deepest, most real-time" registry server where we can check for availability (accuracy to seconds)? Thanks in advance to everyone who contribute.
